Rebecca Davis, MA, LCSW, LiCSW, SEP, is a Black, Indigenous, and queer therapist living in the Pacific Northwest. Rebecca is on faculty at Portland State University in the School of Social Work. She is an Assistant Professor of Practice and co-lead of the Advanced Clinical sequence and associated electives.

Rebecca is trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, through the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center. She is delighted to be deepening that training and education through the pursuit of a Doctorate of Clinical Social Work, specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy. As a psychodynamically oriented practitioner, her therapeutic focus is in supporting individuals across the lifespan through their search for self-understanding and in the act of self-witnessing.

Rebecca is committed to radical embodiment. Play is the language of her work. She is a somatic practitioner and is a Somatic Experiencing (TM) Session Provider at the Beginning Level.

Rebecca is an applied theatre maker. Rebecca teaches and guides varying forms of drama therapy, including running DvT PDX, the Portland Developmental Transformations Training Institute. She also is actively engaged in Theatre of the Oppressed.

Rebecca is the founder and creator of Developmental Tarot, and provides teaching in using the tarot as a tool for mental health and self witnessing.
